>> The Computer Animation and Social Agents Conference 2006 (CASA2006) will be held at Uni Dufour.
>> Uni Dufour, University of Geneva, is located besides the Vieille-Ville (old town) of Geneva and close to the Parc des Bastions, one of the most beautiful gardens in this city. It is a modern building, with plenty of scientific and student life.
24, rue du General Dufour
1211 Geneve 4
Access to CASA2006 (Dufour University):
Coming FROM THE TRAIN STATION:
-> by bus or tram
Take bus No.1 (direction "Rive") and get off at the "Cirque" stop (about 8 minutes ride)
take bus No.5 (direction "Hopital") and get off at the "Place Neuve" stop (about 8 minutes ride)
take tram No.13 (direction "Palettes") and get off at the "Cirque" stop (about 6 minutes ride) or "Plainpalais" (about 8 minutes ride)
-> 'à pied' (walking)
It is also possible to walk from the train station to Dufour. It only takes about 15 minutes, and it is a nice way to start knowing this beautiful town. Anyway, we only recommend it if you have a good map of Geneva... and as long as the weather is fine.
Coming FROM THE AIRPORT:
-> by bus
Take bus No.10 from the airport to the "Bel Air" stop (about 24 minutes ride). Buses run every 10 minutes from the airport to the center of town.
Once you are in "Bel Air", there are two buses you can take: No.3 or No.5.
So, Either you take bus No.3 direction "Crets de Champel", either you take bus No.5 direction "Hopital". Get off at the bus stop called "Place Neuve".
-> by train + bus
Alternatively to directly taking the bus, you can travel by train from the airport to the train station, and then come by bus from the train station to Dufour. The train takes about 6 minutes, and leaves approximately every 15-20 minutes from the airport. You can find the train timetables here.
